The filming of our groups new short film began this week on location at a mansion called Peter Hall out in the Coombe Abbey area of Coventry, with country roads, horses and miles and miles of fields. The location was perfect for the film it had everything we needed for our shoot, once getting there and doing all the filming with costume’s and make up etc i have realised on reflection for future shoots i would defiantly do some sort of shoot order. There was a lot of confusion of what shots that people wanted and what was needed, there was no order in the filming unfortunately, with the group more than likely having to go back to the location to shoot some more shots.
The Filming was a great laugh and a fun day for all involved as this is the first on location shoot have been involved with to seemed to go down well and we got some nice shots for our short film. Once i had gone through the painful process of extracting the footage from the camera which was such a pain in the arse! i decided i was going to do my own quick rough cut just to get a feel of what the footage looks like with sound edited and all the frames put together.
Whilst doing this i realised how difficult it was to get music and effects lined up with the visuals for example the transitions of static between radio was a right buggar to get right but it will do for a rough cut, the final result will be smoother and 10x better than this with new shots from our second camera we had and tighter editing with much better sound effects. below are some of the photos from our shoot.
